MURAL PROJECT CONSIDERATIONS

  • Murals are a beautiful way to transform a space that might not usually contain artwork.

    My designs are original visions inspired by a client’s desires and requests.

    There is a non-refundable Design/Sketch Fee of $250 required for all projects and includes three design concepts. Upon paying the design fee, the client will receive the three design concepts along with a pricing sheet that will break down the cost options of the project in more detail.

    Once a concept is chosen we will make any desired edits to the chosen design and finalize the details, dimensions, and timeline for the project contract.

    One this is signed and a deposit of 30% is paid, the project begins according to the agreed upon timeline

  • Surface prep includes all necessary preparation of any surface until it is ready to receive acrylic primer and paint.

    A client may choose to prepare the surface themselves, or pay an additional fee for surface preparation. This may include sanding, filling gaps, sandblasting, etc.

    Surface priming is coating the prepared surface with a base coat so that the rest of the paint will adhere properly and look better longer.

    All priming is included in the materials cost.

  • All materials and equipment used for average projects will be provided by the artist, including paint brushes, acrylic primer and paint, chalk, tape, ground cloths, standard sized ladders, etc.

    *There will be additional fees for specialized materials and equipment needed for certain projects. These may include scaffolding for larger projects, or low-VOC paint for indoor projects, etc.

  • Mural prices are based on surface area – the larger the surface, the less each sq. ft. will cost.

    Minimum Price: $800 (Murals sized 10 to 40 Square Feet)

    Starting at $20 per square foot. Price decreases with increased size of mural

    • 400 ft2 price drops to $18.00/ ft2

    • 600 ft2 price drops to $16.00/ ft2

    • 900 ft2 price drops to $14/ ft2

    Pricing Includes:

    • *non-specialized Materials and Equipment

    • Work to completion

    • Assistant fees

    Once a proposal is revised and agreed upon, there will be a non-refundable deposit that is due one week prior to the start date of painting. This deposit includes 30% of the Mural Price plus Additional Fees. Additional fees may include travel, Surface Preparation priced at $30/hr, plus the cost of materials.

    The full balance is due within 3 days of completion as determined by the artist with regards to the agreed upon design and is non-refundable.

    All maintenance of completed murals is extra. Murals, especially ones that are exposed to the elements, will naturally fade and chip over time. The price/sq. foot includes material costs and will reflect the quality of materials used to ensure that your mural will last many years.
